The City of Turin
TTurin is a city with a unique charm halfway between sobriety and nineteenth-century luxury and the vitality of a modern city whose young and dynamic appearance is given by the numerous clubs that branch out from Piazza Castello throughout the city.
The Piedmontese capital is full of buildings that are symbols of its history. Imposing residences where kings and nobles from all over Europe lived. Among the most fascinating: Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama e Palazzo Carignano.
La Basilica di Superga, La Gran Madre, Il Duomo e la Consolata are religious buildings, the result of the artistic genius of architects such as Filippo Juvarra e Guarino Guarini. Furthermore, the Holy Shroud is preserved in the Cathedral of Turin.
The Savoy city has always been home to numerous museums, among which the Egyptian Museum, recently renovated and second only to that of Cairo.
Do not miss also: la Galleria D’Arte Moderna, il Castello di Rivoli, La Reggia di Venaria and obviously the Mole Antonelliana, symbol of the city and home to the famous Italian Movie Museum.
